Micro Mega Hero Shaper Files

Description

This 2nd Generation Hero Shaper Rotary File by Micro Mega are nickel titanium rotary endodontic files used in orthograde endodontic treatment. These files make root canal treatment quicker and simpler. The Hero Shaper files have pronounced tapers and are designed to be used in the crown down technique. The 4% and 6% variants in taper are used to prepare the apical and coronal thirds respectively. The files progressively remove any constraints present in the root canal system and flare the canal.

The files have a varying helical pitch and length of the cutting portion. This design provides the files with an excellent combination of efficiency and flexibility. These rotary files have an innovative pitch design which avoids screwing effects. The new pitch varies according to the taper of the file. A more tapered instrument has a longer pitch. This “adapted” pitch increases the performance of the instrument. Lesser instruments are required to complete the whole of the endodontic treatment, which reduces operator fatigue and enhances patient comfort.

Sequence of use:

Yellow sequence:

• Difficult, severely curved canals.
• Canals with significant hypercalcification
• First penetration difficult, even with finest hand files.

Red Sequence:

• Average difficulty, moderately curved canals
• First penetration with #10 K file is hard to achieve

Blue Sequence:

• Low curvature and easy canal preparation
• #15 K file reaches apex easily
